I love the opening ceremony with my SewHayleyJane boxes! Once I’ve stopped bouncing at the arrival of the postman, I grab myself a nice cup (or glass depending on the time of day!) of something and sit myself down for the opening. I love to peek through the yellow tissue paper to try and glimpse what the theme may be!

I love getting things through the post and find it super exciting – letters, postcards, parcels. I followed a couple of people on instagram who had shared their subscription boxes and they just looked so lovely and inspiring. I opted for the Mini Box at first to see how I found it, but I’ve actually continued with it as I enjoy the challenge of seeing what I can make with 1 metre of fabric!

Before subscribing to SewHayleyJane, I was terrified to sew knits and wasn’t 100% dialled in to all the indie pattern companies. These boxes have pushed me out of my comfort zone and opened my eyes to some really amazing pattern and fabric makers.
