Lazy Hazy Days
When you close your eyes and picture the perfect lazy summer day what do you imagine? Lounging under a big oak tree with a picnic and a book? Picking ripe and juicy strawberries? Slowly drifting down stream in a little wooden boat?
All of the above? All of these are what I have tried to embody in August’s boxes and it’s one of those where everything just came together so perfectly to show off this dreamy theme!
This fabric is so incredibly dreamy, both in the print and the gloriously floaty fabric itself. “Life In Venice” is a viscose challis lawn from Lady McElroy and shows scenes of boats drifting along the Venetian canals on a beautiful pale blue background.
I’ve paired it this month with the Olive skirt from Dhurata Davies which is a lovely floaty two-tiered skirt with amazing pockets.
Inside the Luxury and Classics boxes you will also find this beautiful Sewing Sunflowers print from Georgia Camden which is definitely giving me all the hazy summery vibes. Georgia has some really lovely illustrations in her shop, if knitting is also your thing then make sure you check out the “Knitting Garden” print too!
Classic and Mini Boxes
Inside the Classic and Mini boxes you will find 2.5m and 1m of a stunning yarn dyed cotton gingham in either black, red or grey. This fabric is giving me real vintage summer vibes in either an off the shoulder maxi dress or a puff sleeve top paired with cropped trousers.
The fat quarters are the most gorgeous “Sunflower Day” collection by Craft Cotton Company and the colours are so vibrant. Tamlyn’s Reading Cushion tutorial with this fabrics will be up on the blog very soon.
If all that wasn’t quite enough for you every box also includes a matching reel of Gutermann thread, a selection of shiny new machine needles and 3m of piping cord to add to your haberdashery stash!
