Summer! Summer! Summer! Summer!!! I don’t know if I have summer on my mind or High School Musical, honestly, a bit of both. The possibility of daylight and short sleeves has got me all kinds of excited. Clearly it’s not only me because nothing screams summer louder than linen.
When I found out what the Luxury fabric was going to be this month, and that it was my turn to get it, I was absolutely floored.
I don’t tend to sew with jersey fabric as much as I would like, so when Hayley features it in the boxes it makes me so happy that I finally have a reason to work with some. Even better when it looks as magical as this month’s one does, how beautiful is it?!
I live for the season of pretty dresses in autumnal colours to pair with tights, boots and scarfs.
I am all about the soft girl summer aesthetic. Beautiful fabrics, dreamy desaturated colours and soft silhouettes.
When I first heard the plans for this month’s box I was super excited, and even more so when I found out I would be receiving the Luxury box, as I knew it would be utterly fabulous!
The weather has been beautifully warm these past few days which got me thinking about Summer and the clothes I’d like to wear as it gets warmer.
I am writing this currently wearing a big jumper, I am still firmly holding out for some nice, warm weather to get my gams out! That means all I want to make are cute twirly dresses.
Double gauze is such an interesting fabric, the texture and weight lends itself to being good for so many garments, and this watermelon print is so fun, I wanted to make something that was equally cool!
