If ever there was a dress pattern that made me feel most like a princess, the Cinnamon Daisy Poppy dress is the one! I cannot even begin to describe how fantastic I feel in this dress.

January, I believe, should be a time for rest. After the whirlwind that was December we are still in the middle of deepest, darkest winter and whilst I love the idea of setting goals, resolutions and intentions for the year…
Maxi dresses will always have my heart, especially in the summer. There’s something so satisfying about being able to choose just one garment and you’re done, even better that they always have impact too!
This fabric does all the talking, a large scale tie-dye print in beautiful bright and bold colours on a light-weight viscose that has excellent swish-ability!
It’s not often I get the chance to stitch up a garment using the fabric from the boxes ahead of time but once I had decided on the absolutely beautiful Loseta viscose crepe from Fabric Godmother I contacted Josie to ask if she could send me an extra 3m a few weeks before and she super kindly gifted me some.

As soon as this blue double gauze arrived in the studio I had a piece cut and in the wash pronto! I already knew I wanted to make another Indigo dress after I made my first one from Septembers stretch crepe. I did have a brief look through my pattern stash just in case something jumped out at me but I was set.
I tore open the bolts of this gorgeous flamingo print viscose the minute it arrived in my studio. Kate and Rachel from The Fold Line did a great job choosing this fabric when they curated July’s Palm Springs box.
