January Fat Quarter Inspiration

If you have, tell me, where are you going? I could do with a healthy dose of wanderlust!

As for the more immediate future, if you looking for a stitchy project for the weekend I have some inspiration for you and those beautiful fat quarters you have in your stash.

Sticking with the theme ‘Netflix and Sew’ this month, how about updating your cushions to up the comfy-factor whilst watching a new show. The first is this pattern blocked pillow with a lovely pom pom trim, and I love the appliqued anchor pillow which you could do with any design.

You’ll be needing something to keep all your tools, needles, threads and pins to hand and these are perfect. The little pin cushion jar is so easy to make, also makes an excellent little gift. How awesome is this tool holder easel with little pockets for everything? This is a downloadable pattern that costs just over £4.

To keep your projects in one place these fabric baskets are great, you can make them in various sizes as well. Finally, so that you can watch your favourite film in the bath, whilst cooking or when you’re at your sewing machine, this gorgeous iPad stand is a must!

What shows are you currently enjoying? I’m eagerly awaiting the next Marvel instalment of The Punisher later this year… I seem to have become a bit of a Marvel fan recently, definitely not something I would have expected of myself a few years ago. But on the flip side I’m also devastated that I’ve come to the end of the first season of The Crown, I cannot wait for the next. I love Princess Margarets style, the clothes are fabulous. Quite the contrast in taste with those two shows!
