Knickerbocker Glory
Have you heard of the Unboxing Ritual? As I’m writing this the boxes have begun arriving and my Instagram feed has been flooded with photos of #shjunboxingritual it is one of my favourite days of the month. I love seeing what you do when your boxes arrive. Do you tear straight in the second it’s in your hand? Or do you wait for a quiet 5 minutes to yourself so you can enjoy it with a cup of tea? However you open yours, post a photo to social media of the box (don’t reveal the contents for a few days to keep the surprise for everyone else), tag me in it and you could win a £15 gift voucher to The Fold Line (purchased by me, no affiliation).
So, onto June’s boxes, this was one of those months where I couldn’t pin the theme down for ages and then right at the last minute it all came together in the most perfect way. I am in love!
We are entering the summer months here in the UK (she says whilst rain batters against the windows and the paddling pool I haven’t stashed away is being blown around the garden) so what better way to welcome it than with some fabulous summery, fruity prints?
A Knickerbocker Glory, if you haven’t heard of it, is a traditional British desert of ice cream in a tall glass layered with cream and lots of fruit, delish!
Luxury Box
The Luxury box this month features the most gorgeous quality cotton from Art Gallery Fabrics called Cherry Picking designed by Katarina Roccella as part of the Floralish collection and it is beautiful. I have visions of gorgeous summer shirt dresses in this beauty.
To pair with the fabric, the pattern this month is the Jasmine Tee and Dress from Dhurata Davies who I discovered thanks to her amazing face covering pattern recently released. The Jasmine Tee and Dress is a beautiful loose fitting style with a tie at the waist to add definition and the most amazing sleeves!
Inside the Luxury and Classic boxes is this amazing print from none other than our very own Gemma of Ginger Doodles who screen printed by hand every single print for the boxes this month in this fabulous neon pink which in incredibly hard to capture on camera and sadly I don’t think the picture does it justice, trust me, it’s amazing! Don’t you just love the cherry button on top?!
Classic and Mini Boxes
The Classic and Mini boxes feature this amazing pineapple print cotton poplin, isn’t it incredible?! The colour is so vibrant and I actually cannot wait to see what you make with it. Gemma and Laura have been throwing around some pretty awesome ideas for what to do with this jacket, I’m so excited to see.
How perfect are these fat quarters from Craft Cotton Co? Ice creams, ice lollies and lots of sprinkles… good enough to eat!
Every single box also has a dress zip, a matching reel of Gutermann thread and around 2m of either pink or blue pom pom trim (because they looked like little scoops of ice cream!)
Don’t forget to share your make on Facebook or on Instagram #sewhayleyjanemakes
