I have to admit to you, whilst the theme and the main fabrics were set in my mind from pretty early on I really struggled to bring all the elements of these boxes together in order to fit the theme. Sometimes though, the struggles can really pay off and you end up with something that you are perhaps more proud of than if it had been easy peasy.
You may have noticed that I've been reducing my blogging to one post a week, rather than two so that I can spend more time working on growing the business. I wanted to make sure I still include inspiration for both the main fabric and the fat quarters, so here they are in one go for you.
I absolutely love this collection of fat quarters, they have me dreaming of a little bathroom re-styling project. I know, a nautical themed bathroom isn't exactly ground-breaking, but when it works, it works!
For starters I have impressed myself with how many me-made items I have managed to wear as part of Me Made May. I had a couple of repeats but generally I was able to complete my pledge of wearing something I had made every other day throughout May. I have to admit though I did find it difficult to document my outfits and photograph myself every day.
Even better when you can hang up your pre-washed fabric to float about in the breeze and look all pretty. If I was writing this anywhere other than a sewing blog I might get some odd looks, but I know that this is a safe place to admit to such things!
