Sail Away; Fat Quarter Inspiration
I absolutely love this collection of fat quarters, they have me dreaming of a little bathroom re-styling project. I know, a nautical themed bathroom isn’t exactly ground-breaking, but when it works, it works!
The first thing I need to do is make a door stop. Our bathroom door doesn’t stay open and is currently kept propped open with an air freshener can, not very stylish at all. I plan on using this tutorial to make a cube door stop, possibly adding a bit of applique to it as well. Add a few shells and some rope and you have yourself a nautical themed bathroom!
The other place these fat quarters have had me dreaming of is of course a trip to the seaside for a good, old-fashioned picnic. A fantastic way of covering your pots is these bowl covers to stop sand getting into your egg salad!
Pack up your towel and sun lotion in one of these gorgeous bags, a boho sling bag or a bento bag. I made one back in October which I gave to my sister, she loves it!
Make sure to keep your sunglasses safe, try this tutorial for a cute little case. Finally, as the sun starts to go down wrap yourself up in an infinity scarf to keep the chill out.
