A monthly box of sewing goodies, delivered to your door

Walking In A Winter Wonderland Fat Quarter Projects

Coming to you today is some inspiration for using those beautiful fat quarters. This month the theme was all about getting cosy and staying warm over the festive period and the prints reflected the winter colours of icy blue and pale pinks with gorgeous robins, reindeer and little hedgehogs!!

In keeping with the cosy theme these following projects are perfect to help you stay warm and snug whilst the weather is not so great. Let’s be honest it’s more likely to be raining than snowing here so staying in and sewing is definitely the cure!

Make yourself, your family, friends, teachers, neighbour… anyone these amazing microwavable heat pads following this tutorial. Heat a couple up before heading out and put one in each pocket to keep your hands warm!

If you’re lucky enough to live in an old house full of character you might need this draft excluder to keep the cold air from creeping under the doors.

I love this present cushion with the big bow on the front, perfect for snuggling up on the sofa with whilst wearing this pamper set from Sew Magazine which includes a pair of padded slippers.

A cosy hot water bottle is made a thing of beauty when popped inside a beautiful quilted cover and for your hot chocolate wrap your favourite mug up in a pretty mug cozy using this template.

I hope you are feeling sufficiently snug now, if you have any other ideas please let me know in the comments.
