With this month’s theme being based around dreams, I got thinking about what makes up my bedtime routine. An important part, for me, is taking the time to remove my make-up properly and apply some skin care products to my face. This immediately makes me feel calm and it helps me to wake up fresher the next morning. I prefer to use handmade, reusable make-up wipes for this, so in this month’s tutorial I thought I’d show you how I make mine.
Laura received the purple double gauze in October’s Classic box and made an Anna Allen Anthea Blouse.
Esther used the double gauze from Octobers Mini Box to make a top using McCall’s 7542
Gemma received October’s Luxury box and made a Friday Pattern Company Davenport dress with the Art Gallery Fabric cotton “Stars Aligned Treat” from their Spooky n Sweet collection
Octobers boxes feel just a little bit special for a number of reasons, they mark SewHayleyJane’s 5 year anniversary, they are the first to go out from our brand spanking new studio and, I hadn’t actually realised until Bruna (packing extraordinaire) pointed out, the theme was incredibly apt!
This month’s ‘Lazy Hazy Days’ theme got me thinking about my ideal ‘lazy day’ activity. I love nothing more than relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea, then perhaps closing my eyes for a little daytime snooze.
With August’s Mini Box Gemma made hacked the Sew House Seven “Free Range Slacks” into a pair of cute shorts.
In August Laura received the Lady McElroy “Life In Venice” viscose challis and made the Closet Core Amy Jumpsuit
Esther received August’s Classic box and used her red gingham cotton to make the Nina Lee Bakerloo Blouse
