When you close your eyes and picture the perfect lazy summer day what do you imagine? Lounging under a big oak tree with a picnic and a book? Picking ripe and juicy strawberries? Slowly drifting down stream in a little wooden boat?
Every month I get to chat to one of my amazing subscribers to find out more about them, their sewing journey and what they love about their SewHayleyJane box. In July it was the turn of Jane @escape_to_the_sewing_room
July’s top make is a double feature from Kateryna who used the double gauze from June’s Escape To The Country box and the viscose from May’s Wild Side box to make a Tilly and the Buttons Indigo Dress.
July’s “Nautical but Nice” themed Classic and Luxury boxes included a fabulous “Bobbin Along” greetings card designed by Aimee at Sew Anonymous. I chatted to her to find out more about how she started her business.
With the cotton from July’s Mini box, Hayley made a pair of Waves and Wild Heyday Dungarees for her 3 year old daughter.
Hi everyone, Tamlyn here. This month’s nautical themed box had me dreaming of picnics on the beach, so my project this month is to make a roll-up cutlery carrying case.
Gemma received the Luxury Box in July and used the Art Gallery Fabrics “Saltwater Stream” to make the Closet Core Patterns Charlie Caftan
With July’s Classic Box cotton poplin Laura paired it with a plain white linen viscose to make the Sew Over It Porto Jumpsuit from the Summer Dreaming eBook
Ahoy there! The summer is here (apparently) and whether or not you live close to the beach or are planning a seaside trip this summer I hope that this box brings a little bit of sunshine and beachy vibes to your door!
