Nautical But Nice
Ahoy there! The summer is here (apparently) and whether or not you live close to the beach or are planning a seaside trip this summer I hope that this box brings a little bit of sunshine and beachy vibes to your door!
Strangely this theme actually started with the title. Usually it’s a fabric or a gift but the play on words tickled me and so I made it happen and I’m really pleased with how it all turned out! Let’s take a look.
We’re taking a dive into a swirling school of fish with this amazing cotton from the Enchanted Voyage collection for Art Gallery Fabrics. “Saltwater Stream Dim” is a beautiful fabric in tones of blue and pairs so perfectly with this months pattern. The brand new Skye Sundress from Tilly and the Buttons is the perfect dress for a hot sticky day at the beach, wear it maxi, midi or mini ready for a paddle in the sea!
Classic and Mini Boxes
You know I love something a little bit novelty from time to time and this cotton is just enough to keep me satisfied without being too in your face! It’s a lovely quality blue cotton with little anchors and ships in either red or yellow and I can’t wait to show you what has been made out of this fabric already coming to the blog in the next week.
The fat quarters from Craft Cotton Co called “Nautical Friends” featuring fun boats, anchors, crabs and whales. Stay tuned next week for Tamlyn’s FQ project tutorial for putting these to excellent use for all your summer picnics!
The Luxury and Classic boxes all include a gorgeous “Bobbin Along” greetings card designed by Aimee of Sew Anonymous. I love the play on words and have been humming the bobbing along song from Bedknobs and Broomsticks for weeks!
Every box also includes a little set of metal shank buttons giving that little nod to the nautical as well as the matching reel of Gutermann thread and some edible goodies!
