A monthly box of sewing goodies, delivered to your door

Beautiful Blooms

This month is definitely no exception. Every component of the box just works together beautifully and makes me extremely happy.

This months theme came together after being approached by the lovely Rudy of RoodlesRunique who sells gorgeous sewing and crafty inspired products like stickers, magnets and prints. I chose to include a Sewist print in every box and a Sewing Is My Superpower vinyl sticker in the Classic and Luxury boxes. Both of which feature a vintage style sewing machine surrounded by flowers, and so the theme Beautiful Blooms was born!

Luxury Box

There was only one place to turn to for gorgeous floral print fabric in my mind and that was Lisa Comfort. I absolutely loved working with her cotton lawn before so was more than happy to include a different print this month. I hope you’ll agree that “All The Roses” in mint is just stunning and really does feel amazing.

To match the fabric this month, I went for another of the big names in the indie sewing biz, a Tilly and the Buttons Martha dress. This dress is fitted at the bodice and flows into a bias cut skirt for some great swooshability. It features a contemporary mandarin collar and a choice of short sleeves or three-quarter length bell sleeves. Made in the Lisa Comfort fabric and paired with boots and a cardigan or pashmina style scarf will help ease you into the cooler months.

Mini and Classic Box

As soon as I saw this Cath Kidston inspired cotton poplin fabric I knew it was the perfect match for this month. It features a medium size pink rose print on a pale blue background and would work perfectly for another of Tilly’s patterns, has anyone tried the new Stevie top yet?

The fat quarters this month are a gorgeous selection of Japanese Florals and are just stunning. I love the bright colours and floral print. If you’re already thinking ahead a few months these would make some gorgeous make-up bags or pencil cases for gifts.

Every box also includes a concealed zip, a 100m reel of matching Gutermann thread and a selection of chocolate lime sweets.

Finally, our very own Harriet has just released her very own book The Little Book of Stain Removal and has very kindly included a card in every box with a few key points and a special discount code for SewHayleyJane subscribers who would like to buy the book. I already own a copy and can see how useful it will be. I am constantly getting food on my newly made clothes!!

I cannot wait to see what you make with these goodies. Make sure to share what you are up to on Instagram using #sewhayleyjanemakes or on my Facebook page.

Happy Sewing!
