’ve always loved stationery – pretty pens and pencils, rainbow coloured highlighters, fun-shaped erasers but especially notebooks and journals. I have SO many dotted around the house, as whenever I see a cute one, I tend to buy it. But you often pay over the odds just because the notebook has a nice cover – the paper inside isn’t any different. So, this month’s tutorial provides a way of making even the most boring notebooks look beautiful!

With Mother’s Day just around the corner – 27th March in the UK – I thought I’d put together a little round up of gift ideas to make with your stash of fat quarters from your SewHayleyJane boxes. These quick and simple projects won’t take much more than an hour to whip up and are beautiful as well as practical.
Well seeing as it’s February and the month of love, I thought I’d make something Valentine’s themed for this month’s tutorial. This is a super quick and easy heart garland that can be used all year round or just brought out for a special occasion. It’s also a fantastic scrap buster – the hearts can even be stuffed with little fabric scraps too!
If you know me, you’ll know I absolutely LOVE anything with a space print, so this month’s box theme is perfect for me. The fat quarters are stunning and I knew I wanted to make something that I would see and use every single day.
When I saw this month’s gorgeous Yoga themed fat quarters, I knew exactly what I wanted to make – a stylish yet practical bag to store my Yoga mat in. Read on to find out how to make this simple drawstring bag with a carry handle – you’ll be surprised how quickly it comes together!
With this month’s theme being based around dreams, I got thinking about what makes up my bedtime routine. An important part, for me, is taking the time to remove my make-up properly and apply some skin care products to my face. This immediately makes me feel calm and it helps me to wake up fresher the next morning. I prefer to use handmade, reusable make-up wipes for this, so in this month’s tutorial I thought I’d show you how I make mine.
This month’s ‘Lazy Hazy Days’ theme got me thinking about my ideal ‘lazy day’ activity. I love nothing more than relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea, then perhaps closing my eyes for a little daytime snooze.
Hi everyone, Tamlyn here. This month’s nautical themed box had me dreaming of picnics on the beach, so my project this month is to make a roll-up cutlery carrying case.
Tamlyn is back again this month with a fabulous tutorial for using those gorgeous fat quarters in the “Escape To The Country” Box to make a reversible tote bag. Perfect for putting all the essential supplies you need in for a little ramble through the country.
