Cottage Garden
I am loving a bit of cottagecore right now, this time of year I always get inspired to get out in the garden and start growing things, even better if I can do it whilst wearing cute floaty cottage inspired dresses.
Ok, so that might not actually be super practical for actually doing any garden work, but once you’ve finished your hard work you can enjoy the fruits of your labour in a pretty dress under a parasol with blankets and books. Nothing like a bit of day dreaming is there?
This months boxes are one of the prettiest collections, dreamy and floaty, a bit of a vintage cottage feel.
Luxury Box
I was so excited to find this fabric, it’s a deadstock cotton sourced for us by Pigeon Wishes and is based on a 1930s wallpaper design. It’s the cutest! It features little berries, leaves and flowers on a criss-cross pattern that resembles garden trellis. The grid pattern comes in either blue or green and it will make some super cute vintage inspired dresses for the summer.
Luckily I have you sorted with the pattern included in this months Luxury box, the new Zoe dress pattern from Emporia is a gorgeous shirt dress with pleats that give a subtle corseted effect to draw in the waist. It’s an intermediate pattern with some interesting features to develop your sewing skills.
Classic and Mini Boxes
Do you see how pretty? The fabric in the Classic and Mini boxes is a beautiful scattered flowers viscose cotton blend which almost gives it a linen-like texture. It comes in either a coral or blue background with different coloured flowers and leaves.
All the boxes came with our lovely magazine 1 metre of cute daisy trim, matching Gutermann thread, a box of Joe’s Oh So English Tea and a pack of Island Bakery Shortbread biscuits – yum!
The Luxury and Classic boxes get an extra metre of a supplementary fabric which was a sweet pale pink double gauze this month, perfect for some summer shorts. As if all that wasn’t enough there was also an adorable button shaped wooden coaster, perfect to put alongside your sewing machine whilst your stitch up your fabric this month.
