Sunday Brunch
After last months oh so sophisticated, floaty and romantic literary inspired boxes I decided to do a bit of a 180 this month with lots of colour and fun and a little bit of novelty to brighten up February.
Who doesn’t love brunch? If I could I would do brunch every single day it’s my favourite meal. Sausages and eggs, pancakes and syrup, pastries… so much choice! Yes I have dedicated a whole box to a meal.
Again, this box has been one I’ve wanted to do for a while but I decided to wait until spring was coming as it just didn’t feel quite right in the Autumn and I’m so happy with how it has turned out. Let’s take a look.
Luxury Boxes
The beautiful Lady McElroy cotton lawn called Prosecco Fizz is so gorgeous with its navy background and little bubbles of colour in pink, blue, green and yellow. I think this was make a stunning shirt dress or a rather fabulous pair of wide legged trousers like the Pattern Preacher Sienna Trousers. The beauty of brunch is that it can be a fancy dressed up affair or a low key, stay in your pjs one!
The Luxury and Classic boxes also include a gorgeous set of 6 Chai Latte buttons from Pigeon Wishes which are a perfect finishing touch to something like a jacket.
Classic and Mini Boxes
I am so in love with this months cheerful fabric in the Classic and Mini boxes. A navy blue cotton poplin with a fruit salad print in bold colours featuring oranges, apples, passion fruit, lemons, watermelon, strawberries, kiwi and pineapple… anyone else feeling hungry now? Yes it’s a little bit novelty but the dark background keeps it wearable and I think it would make a great pair of overalls or a fit and flare style dress.
Next up are the gorgeous orange and lemon patterns fat quarters from Craft Cotton Company. The patterns remind me of painting with fruit shapes or the swirls on top of a frothy coffee. You can definitely brighten up the kitchen with this fabrics!
Finally, as well as the 100m reel of Gutermann thread to match the main fabric every box included a concealed zip in either navy, red, yellow or green to co-ordinate with the fabric.
When it came to the sweet treat for the month, a little bag of haribo’s fried eggs was in every box.
