The December SewHayleyJane boxes were all about staying warm and cosy when it's cold outside. I love going out for a winter walk when there is frost on the ground, even better if there is snow on the ground. But you gotta stay warm! So I sent out boxes full of super snuggly fleece-lined sweatshirt fabric in the Luxury Boxes and a lovely quilted knit fabric in the Mini and Classic Boxes.
There are so many awesome blogs out there, and this list doesn't even scratch the surface - not even close! Some of the blogs I enjoy reading are ones written by people as a hobby, to showcase their latest make or share with the world a little about their lives. Then there are the big ones, the ones that are a legitimate career, or at are at least part of their full time work. I love following these for their amazing photography and because I find them inspiring and aspirational.
I've had some really lovely feedback from customers who were as excited to receive their boxes as I was to pack them up and ship them off. A few people have already made some lovely items with the contents of their boxes and posted them on Instagram, there may have been some squeals from me when I saw them. Don't forget if you post a picture on social media to tag me in the comments and also to use #sewhayleyjanemakes so that I can see everything.
When I finally decided that the first box was going to be released in October, there was really only one theme it could be in my mind. If you're on any form of social media you can't have failed to notice how excited everyone gets at the arrival of Autumn. The colours, the snuggly jumpers and socks, twinkly lights and pumpkin spice everywhere. This might be a good time to admit, between you and me, I really don't like pumpkin spice latte's. I know... terrible! But I do love everything else to do with this season.
So last Wednesday we were finally able to open up subscriptions! Yay!! Oh my gosh I was so excited but also really very nervous that I was going to hear crickets. A lot of hard work has gone into getting this ready but I was preparing myself for it to take a while before anyone clicked over and joined in my little party.
