Bloomin’ Beautiful

Oh I do love a floral fabric in the summer and this months boxes are stuffed with gorgeous florals for you to get stuck into!
The seed for these boxes was originally sewn (get it?!) when I spotted some gorgeous illustrations printed on paper that had wildflower seeds inside the actual paper. Whilst I loved this idea I didn’t like the thought of tearing up and burying a beautiful illustration, plus shipping wildflowers abroad is a big no go!
But the theme was set in my mind as the perfect one for June so I got researching and found the perfect goodies to go into your boxes this month, so lets dig into the bloomin’ beautiful box!
Luxury Box

The Luxury fabric this month is a stunning viscose from Lise Tailor who has the most beautiful collection of fabrics designed in France. This LENZING™ ECOVERO™, FSC and STeP by OEKO-TEX® Certified fabric is called “Rosée Printanière” or “Spring Dew” and features white flowers and blue leaves on a dark dusky pink. I have paired it with the latest pattern from Experimental Space – the Hailey shirt which has some really interesting details that include 4 different sleeve options.

I’m so happy that I discovered Ashrifa’s gorgeous fibre arts business on Etsy and found her stick and stitch embroidery patterns that I have included inside the Luxury and Classic boxes. These little floral designs can be stuck onto the fabric you want to embroider ready to stitch on top of. Then once you have finished the backing paper dissolves in water leaving behind your perfect embroidery.

Classic and Mini Boxes
The Classic and Mini Boxes this month are bursting with gorgeous bright fabrics – each has a length of stunning floral viscose in either bright red or sky blue with a sweet and dainty little floral print. Perfect for any summer day made into a sleeveless shirt and paired with jeans or a full swishy dress or skirt!

The fat quarters this month are from a collection called Meadow Flowers by Craft Cotton Co and are a stunning set of flower designs in tones of mustard, blue and pink. Keep an eye out for Tamlyn’s zipper pouch tutorial coming next week.

Every box also has this super sweet wild flower notebook (as I couldn’t send the real deal) and of course the matching Gutermann thread along side the SHJ magazine bursting full of awesome inspiration.
I hope you love this box as much as I do, don’t forget to share your makes over on Facebook and Instagram #sewhayleyjanemakes
