Galentine’s Day

February’s “Galentine’s Day” themed boxes have been so popular and it’s pretty easy to see why. What a collection!

So what is Galentine’s Day? If you’ve ever seen the American Sitcom Parks and Recreation you might know where it came from. It’s grown in popularity over the last 5 years and has almost become a holiday in its own right. The 13th February is the day to celebrate your best ladies. Going out for brunch, cocktails or just enjoying a cup of tea and a natter.

So this months box is full of gorgeous, girly fabrics. I kept in mind the kind of garments that you might make for a brunch date when I was choosing the goodies to go in these boxes and I think I nailed it – even if I do say so myself.

Luxury Box

Oh hello there Atelier Brunette viscose fabric – all the heart eyes for this fabric! This gorgeous Moonstone Pink viscose has the most beautiful drape – perfect if you’re already thinking ahead to the warmer months ahead. Pair it with the fantastic Joy blouse from I Am Patterns – you’ll even have fabric left over for something else! Joy is a lovely loose fitting blouse with gently puffed sleeves the gather at the cuff.

The Luxury and Classic boxes all have a pair of heart handle Snipsters embroidery scissors from Cloud Craft in one of four colours. Anyone else have a growing collection of cute scissors?

Classic and Mini Boxes

As well as Gutermann thread, tailors chalk and two meters of pretty pink lace the Classic and Mini boxes feature a beautiful chambray fabric. Perfect for making shirts, shirtdresses and skirts this will make a staple garment in your wardrobe.

How lovely are these fat quarters? The colours are just gorgeous and will make the perfect make up pouches, tote bags or used as a pocket lining or facing for the inside of your garments.

As for the sweet treat? It had to be a pack of love hearts!
