Love Is In The Air
February is the month of love, whether that be your Galentine’s, Valentine’s or love for fabric and all things sewing! This months box celebrates it all!
When I first saw the buttons made by Pigeon Wishes in collaboration with the ladies at Cut One Pair I knew they would be the perfect fit for the boxes in February, lilac is definitely having a moment right now and if your reactions on social media is anything to go by I was bang on the money! So let’s take a look at the rest of the boxes.
Luxury Boxes
This months Luxury fabric is a stunning cotton lawn from Lady McElroy called Love Notes, a dusky pink background with paint strokes in pale pinks and creams and the love notes themselves are pieces of French text. To pair with it I have included The Gathered Dress from The Avid Seamstress. A fairly simple shape shift dress to let the fabric shine but with a gathered back waist to give a little definition.
As for those buttons? Aren’t they beautiful? Included in the Luxury and Classic Boxes these would look so fantastic on a button down skirt or maybe a cardigan, the cut of the buttons really shimmers in the light.
Classic and Mini Boxes
I’m not sure our love for leopard print is ever going to go away. The stunning viscose this month, 2.5m in the Classic and 1m in the Mini boxes comes in either lilac or a dark coral and features a little leopard print spot. The viscose has a beautiful drape and weight to it and will make some stunning spring outfits.
This months fat quarters “Sketches of Paris” from Craft Cotton Company feature, well… sketches of Paris! Picture your perfect trip to the city of love and you will see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, coffee and pastries to name but a few.
As well as all that beauty each box also includes 2m of pink grosgrain ribbon with silver glitter hearts, a 100m reel of Gutermann thread, a little packet of love hearts and of course the SewHayleyJane mini mag bursting with inspiration.
