With this month’s Classic Box Esther used the cotton poplin to make a stunning Sew Over It Giselle Dress
ome months I have to do a lot of thinking and research before I decide on a project to make, but not this month. I opened the parcel with my fat quarters inside and immediately knew what I wanted to make – it just HAD to be something for the kitchen.
I can’t quite believe it has taken me nearly 6 years to come up with this theme! The Darling Buds of May was (and still is) one of my favourite tv programmes to watch when I want something easy going and happy. It never fails to put a smile on my face when I’m feeling under the weather.
’ve always loved stationery – pretty pens and pencils, rainbow coloured highlighters, fun-shaped erasers but especially notebooks and journals. I have SO many dotted around the house, as whenever I see a cute one, I tend to buy it. But you often pay over the odds just because the notebook has a nice cover – the paper inside isn’t any different. So, this month’s tutorial provides a way of making even the most boring notebooks look beautiful!
In April Esther received the Mini box and used her 1m viscose linen to make a lovely Simple Sew Sophia Top
Laura received the Classic box in April and used her 2.5m viscose linen to make a pair of Sew House Seven Burnside Bibs
Gemma loves a jumpsuit and this month she turned to the True Bias Nova Jumpsuit to make with the cotton jersey in the Luxury Box
About a month ago I posted a poll on Instagram asking what everyone thought of me including solid fabric every now and then as well as all the amazing prints I usually send. The results came in a staggering number were really up for it so that’s the direction I took this month.
s soon as I set eyes on this month’s fat quarters, the perfect project sprang to mind! Now, I’m not very green-fingered myself, but a gardening apron will definitely help me to feel a little bit more organised when I do venture outside to do a few jobs. This would also be super useful around the house, or perhaps even at work. Anywhere that you need to keep a few important tools to hand!
