As soon as this blue double gauze arrived in the studio I had a piece cut and in the wash pronto! I already knew I wanted to make another Indigo dress after I made my first one from Septembers stretch crepe. I bought my sewing machine on a whim. Most people that you hear about have a lovely romantic story, but not me! It was New Year’s Day 2018 and I wanted something new to get stuck into. Lately I've been looking at my me-made wardrobe and thinking about what I make in comparison to what I wear on a regular basis, identifying gaps that can be filled with more practical garments as well as the beautiful dresses. I tend to like one-piece outfits such as jumpsuits for ease of styling, knowing that I can throw on one garment and that is pretty much my outfit sorted, however one of the gaps I identified is separates.
